This is about the time of year I trekked and climbed to reach the summit of the infamous Mount Pinatubo a couple of years back... I think. You'd need very capable 4x4 vehicles to get you as close as possible, then you hike amidst jagged rocks, streams and surreal terrain for about 3 hours... gruelling? Definitely. Worth all that? Most definitely. You should go try it at least once in your life.

Wow, that sounds like a lot of fun... consider staying the night. That's what I've learned, after reaching the crater. Astig talaga. If you need contacts, I can point you to some people, re the rides, equipment, etc. Let me know when you intend to push through with it. :)
